TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - The Pima County Sheriff's Department is investigating the reports of shots fired in a neighborhood near Palo Verde Road and Drexel Road.

Deputy Tom Peine tells KGUN9 that around 11:00 a.m., they received a call about shots being fired from the back of a vehicle.

When deputies arrived on scene, they did not find the suspect vehicle. However, a few minutes later a deputy spotted the suspect vehicle.  As the vehicle was approached, three suspects fled on foot.

One suspect has been arrested. Two others are still outstanding.

Chaparral Middle School, located at 3700 East Alvord Road, was placed on temporary lock-down as a precaution.
