From the KGUN9 Weather Center, the National Weather Service has issued a Freeze Warning for the Tucson metro area from 1:00AM to 8:00AM Tuesday.

A combination of dry air and a trough passing to our northeast will combine to bring very cold temperatures early Tuesday morning. In the Tucson metro area, overnight lows may briefly drop below 32 which is hazardous to sensitive plants.

Elsewhere in higher elevations such in the cities of Oracle, Sierra Vista, or Mammoth, prolonged freezing will occur. Protect your pipes from freezing, remember the pets, and cover your plants!

Warmer weather will be on the way by midweek with another cooldown and rain likely by the week's end.
