Rain, snow and widespread freezing

TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - A cold front will bring gusty winds, as well as valley rain and mountain snow to the area Monday and Monday night. Areas of blowing dust are possible in mainly eastern areas such as Cochise County. Rainfall amounts are expected to remain below a third of an inch in most locations.

Scattered showers will continue to lift to the northeast across southern Arizona this afternoon and evening. Rainfall will generally be less than a tenth of an inch. 20% chance of snow in the Rincon, Catalina and White Mountains.

A Winter Weather Advisory is active through 11:00 p.m. Monday for northern Graham and Greenlee counties due to snow and blowing snow on the roads.

A Flood Advisory for small streams is still active for Pinal county until 4:15 p.m. Monday.

Wind will continue to stay gusty throughout the evening especially over Cochise county. Freezing or near-freezing temperatures will move in tonight through Tuesday morning for most of southern Arizona. High temperatures on Tuesday will remain quite chilly in the upper 40s to lower 50s.
